Hey barbie!

"I'm really a rocket scientist"

Some people generalize and stereotype people to much.
It happened to me today-

I was at a work meeting in uniform.
But i have long fake nails that are painted bright pink
(at the moment anyway)
And someone attempted to explain to me
how to use the computer system and why we have to read out the privacy act to the customer..Quote "I'll explain in words you can get honey, don't stress!"
She didn't even get past the first part of the sentence
before i said something.

me- "Your seriously going to paraphrase what she just said cause your under the impression that because of the way that i presented my self today- I couldn't possibly understand how to use a computer,or why the practices and laws that we as sales reps are governed by are there for a reason and why we can't mislead a customer? "
woman-*silence*
everyone else- *laughs*

The whole day she was the one that need to be re-told cause she didn't understand.
It just made me angry-because i wasn't wearing normal clothes so really she judged me on the color of my nails
-and assumed that i knew nothing because i wear them.

Here's the thing lady!-
Even if you don't love fashion,
put time and effort into creating fashion,
or care about what you wear at all-
You are ruled by fashion

let me explain-
better yet lets just let Meryl Streep's character Miranda Priestly from the movie "the devil wears prada"
explain-

'This... stuff'? Oh okay..You think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select... I don't know... that lumpy blue sweater, for instance because you're trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back.
But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue, it's not turquoise. It's not lapis. It's actually cerulean.
And you're also blithely unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves Saint Laurent... wasn't it who showed cerulean military jackets? I think we need a jacket here. And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers.
And then it, uh, filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic Casual Corner where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and it's sort of comical how you think that you've made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you're wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room from a pile of stuff.

You may not choose to wear what is in style or fashionable now-
But what you have chosen instead was once upon a time picked for you the consumer to purchase,by someone with extremely flexible taste.

So you can't tell me you don't care.
cause if you didn't-you wouldn't be wearing anything.

Just because you like to wear nice things,
get your nails done,
might have blond hair
wear make up.
Doesn't mean that you are not a bright human
and all you can do in life is shop
And if your the one doing the judging then your not very bright yourself..
Same goes for black nails,tattoos,piercings,converse shoes,heels,dyed black hair,glasses,board shorts,v-neck tops,short skirts,black clothing,dark make-up,false lashes....do i need to go
further
?

Don't judge a book by its bright pink cover?

Just be yourself and let everyone else do the same.

I love you,and don't care what you wear. =]
