Hey guys sorry i M.i.a-ed on last weeks edition iv been heaps busy..but anyway-here it is In one =]

Black leggings/tights-I live in these things! i wear them under dresses or long tops around the house,walking or under P.J's when its absolutly freezing..(like right now! ;P) They are super comfy go with everything and their deffinatly a must have! =]

Black cardie-I love cardies-their like the second thing i always wear,they go with everything and they are the perfect "in-between" of 'not hot not cold but need something on my arms' =] and usually you can get really cheap ones from shops like SES and target =]

The oversized jersey-
Oh how i love the! hehe these are great! I love wearing them on the "I cant be fucked" days They are perfect for the "i was out all night drinking and havent been to bed but i need to go out cause theres nothing in the house to eat" shopping sprees and i wear them when im going for a walk or just to the supermarket! the bigger the better with these! =]

The long necklace-
As you guys Know im not a big gold fan-but i love log necklaces and have enough to open my own diva store. ;] they're great with loose fitting tops =]

mac.jacobs tote-Awww the little birds! =D (Missing my birdy =[)
Again its gold but i love it! I love the to side zipp pocket cause thats what i look for in a great handbag..perfect for the things you need out of your bag most often or always lose eg keys,phone, lip gloss...i kept extra cocktail rings or necklaces in mine cause i sometimes forget to put them on before i leave lol
It's $398.00 which isnt too bad for a real leather Marc bag. this one is deffinatly on my wish list.

Jeffrey Campbell boots-
Remember how i said i need a new pair?...I want these ones! lol
i dont how ever want the price tag-(as far as i know) these babys are $300! ah i wish....

Just a kid at heart...

I can prove this statement is the definition of me-

-I will happily watch ABC3 and not complain,Like tonight its girls night in on that channel And their playing 'blue water high' 'the sleepover club' and 'heartbreak high' and Chris is at work so imma watch it by myself =D

-I still watch Lizzie McGuire & Hannah Montana,& how to be indie and i loove it!

-I collect stuffed toys (mostly cows) and they all have names..and personalities =D

-Some times when I'm bored instead of watching a movie like "bride wars"..I'll watch shriek..or cars..i love cars =]

-The pen i use in my day-planner is a leaf with Tinkerbell on it.

-I still cut my sandwiches in half so their rectangles instead of triangles.

-I still draw smiley faces with Sauce on my food.

-Some times i will get a happy meal at McDonald's cause it does actually make me happy! (maybe that's just cause it makes me feel like I'm eating less.)

-And I'm dying to see TOY story3! and the smurf movie!!!

See i told you.. I estimate my age to be about...8 lmao.
I don't know what it is..I think maybe its just i find comfort in these things because they remained me of a time where i had no problems.. depressing i know..

I've had my fair share of interviews,and I've had alot this week.
When your going to an interview (either office,retail,anything-) your representing your self,the way you dress, your make up and the shoes you wear really do make a difference. It's all well and good that you went to one of the best schools in your area,have a fantastic UAI, were school captain,or have gushing recommendations from your previous jobs-but if you dress like you don't care,or don't want to be there..They wont care and wont want you there.

Its socially accepted prostitution.

You are the product, the product design team, the spokesperson and the company. You have to sell yourself in person as well as paper.Other wise you don't even have a chance of securing the job.

This past week i had a group interview for a major department store- the dress code was business wear-preferred black. This store is high class and the people that are fortunate enough to afford to shop there are high class- and they expect to be greeted and served by well dressed people.The people that recruit for this store expect the same.Astounded i watched as one girl not only walked in 10 Min's late,but was sporting stone wash denim jeans,ugg boots,a white (see through) t-shirt, and a black bonds hoodie. Need i say more?...

My do's and dont's =]-
trust me i've seen it and i might have done it...maybe. =P

- Black,white,gray and ONE colour.
Colour takes the harshness out of the business look, the key to this is to use muted pastels,(example in picture) it gives you a "life" out side of work but still keeps you professional. This is best used in cardigans-especially if your under 30.
White is best as your top colour and black as your skirt or pants.

-Shoes.
NO- Pep toes,strapy sandal heels, or colour! (sorry its just business! ;P )
Shoe colours that are okay- nudes, black and gray. (ask me about white shoes and ill kick you back to the 60's they don't flatter anyone!{strapy heels are a different story})
NO- Heeled boots. just no.
NO- studs,different coloured heels then the shoe..platform,cork heels,wedges,dimonties,glitter, bows or ribbons. If you get the job and you are in the environment to wear heels all day then you can wear what ever you like.

-Jewelry
Your best safest bet is pearls. No skulls,butterfly's,hearts or dog tags (please no dog tags!!!!) Simple nice everyday jewellery. (I'll explain the necklace in the picture later) No rings that could be mistaken for a real flower, butterfly, or space junk.NO BIG EARRINGS! eg getto hoops-no!

-Handbags.
your not shopping so no country road bags (the big ones) your not clubbing so no clutches. you are though trying to land a job..>> BLACKKKK!!!! Medium sized normal bags. yes they notice-trust me!!!

-Make up.
Nude colours the only harsh colour on your face should be mascara, (black...again) eye liner and your normal eye colour (not red cat eyes)browns,silvers,golds,and nudes-perfect!(example in picture)

-Hair
I'm not going to tell you to dye your pink streak back in the hope of getting a job-but there are always hair styles that cover it. you know what they are.

-nails.
Bad= bright blue,bright green,bright yellow, fluro anything and patterned anything,glittery anything..And i hate this one No black nails...=[
Good= red,clear little silver.
Better= nothing or french tip.

And people this should go without saying but unfortunately...not always.
SHOWER, deodorant,mints and clean hands. its really not hard.

Mary-Jane's-I love my Mary Jane's! =] they go perfectly with everything! and mine were $20 from target. lol

Chanel pearls-
AHHHH i love them! and want them! i guess its my deep desire to dress like (and look like) Marissa cooper from the O.C =] Money where are you?

Chanel classic tote-medium-
I love this bag. its simple classic,chic,Chanel. no glitz,or chains or white or pink..just plain Chanel glam! ..and L.c Has it..lol the best thing she got outta Jason. =]

Nude lipstick-
I love it-it gives a nice matte finish that looks natural(not 10x lighter then your face!- Note- the key to this is to match it perfectly...don't buy it by yourself- take an honest friend..or better go to a make-up counter or Napoleon Perdis store, or Myer/David Jones..they are professional make up artist and can match it to your skin tone perfectly! =]

carring on...

So i had my Sex & the city fix yesterday...and despite what other people have blogged/said/commented etc about it, i enjoyed it! I laughed,and i had fun, i envied their wardrobes and felt sorry for Charlotte.I related to big and carries problems and i sympathized with Samantha.I loved it.not as much as the series or the first movie-but i still loved it.
But this wouldn't be an accurate review if i didn't tell you my disappointments-without given anything away..

I was a little disappointed that this movie didn't really give us anything new and that it wasn't set in NYC,its a huge part of who these women are-it's the fifth character and if you remember just before "burger" carries ex-lover! i understand that it was important to have them get away, but was it really necessary to but a damaged Charlotte,a bored Miranda,a menopausal Samantha,and a confused Carrie on a 14 hour plane to Abu Dhabi in the middle east?..seriously.

And with that..If Micheal Patrick king,needed them to be on the other side of the world ,he could have written a little cultural sensitivity into Samantha as well as Carrie.In saying that i do understand that that's the way Samantha is.But even some of the comments made by Carrie about traditional dress and customs where a little on 'the line' and having them escape in traditional dress! I don't think that they realised when they wrote it or shot it, that its actually highly offensive to wear the traditional Muslim dress if your not Muslim.

Many critics have said that there was a distinct lack of sex in this instalment and i agree there was really only one 5 sec scene at the end,and a whole lot of hint dropping that led no where, but its called sex and the city..its been praised over its years for being a feminist beckon and a source of (lets face it) female safe porn,thought understandably these women's lives have moved beyond just sex,Samantha's still alive and kicking!

The other thing that critics are not liking about the sequel is the actual story line its self..Now 3 of the 4 woman are married,2 of those 3 are mothers-their not going to be having sex with different men through out the movie!
Their going to be confronted and dealing with issues that normal every day married women and mothers deal with- which is exactly what they are.And if you don't like it then i don't understand you because $10 says that if you watched this movie your were a fan of the show, and if that's so then you probably cheered them on when they got married and cried when their children where born.

These women have indeed got what they all wanted, but at 20-something when you start wanting these dreams do you really fully understand the implication of getting these dreams?...the amount time,energy and commitment that goes into taking care of children,working,and having a happy marriage as well as a healthy social life, and the emotional toll it takes? no you don't.
These three woman are now 40- their just realising that the dreams that they are lucky enough to have come true arnt always painted in pastels anymore,and though your white knight is still a little shiny he has take-out stains on his armor and likes to watch TV on the couch.And as for Samantha's real issue-No matter what colour your skin,your marriage status or if you've had children or not-you will go through menopause. its like death-inevitable.

What these critics are forgetting is that this movie isn't a remake of the first season of the series!
These woman are in their 40's and 50's and their relationship status,commitments,goals and situation has changed!(even though their wardrobe is still fabulous!)
The other thing that their forgetting is that no matter how bad they say the movie is-the franchises billions of female and gay fans will see the movie,they may not all like it..but they will see it.no matter what.
So you can tell us its shit-but as long as those four women are in it..and Patrica Fields is the stylist, we will still pull our most expensive looking shoes on, fork out the money and go see it.

As i said before...I loved it! and would happily see it again! =]

Sweet carrie candy.

I've been saying that i was going to do this for a while..and yes each book does deserve its own blog but there is a method to my madness...most of the time. =] So here we go...

La Candy;Sweet little lies-Lauren Conrad.

In her last book Lauren left us angry at Madison,a little mad at Jesse,mad at Jane for not listening to Scarlett and a little pissed off at Jane for being stupid with Barden.
Over all when 'La candy' finished you wanted more..needed more.And in Sweet little lies Lauren gives it to you. you can tell she enjoyed writing this one more as the characters are already established in the first book,its not so much "work" for the reader to remember who everyone is..and its easy to fall back into and not have to read the first again before you read the second.
Over all 'Sweet little lies' is a well written "no way" "omg" "i cant believe her!" page turner,and at the end Conrad once again leaves us wanting more-who is Madison and whats her secret? Now you all know that i adore this girl but i can honestly say that is the book was given to me to read and i did so without knowing the author id still love it. If your looking for a fun-juicy read...=]

'The carrie diaries'-candice bushnell.

Ahhh Carrie..ever wonder how she met Samantha Jones?
Or who carries first boy friend was?...or what her family was like?..
I honestly couldn't put this book down and read it all yesterday! It's fantastic..and we all know that Bushnell's a fantastic writer but i haven't read any of her work before. 'The Carrie diaries' is an interesting look into Carrie as an 18year old,and you realise why she is the way she is,Again it's a little "omg" and i loved it!.The twists...i have to admit all but the Samantha one i saw coming but that didn't make it any less exciting, it just made me right lol.
And as i finished the book and read the last words i was so mad that it was over! Annoyingly i cant find anywhere or anyone that seems to know if theres another one...cause its written like there should be..but Trust me-you have to read this book. =]

I'm off t find something in my closet of nothing to wear to see 'sex and the city 2'...the weather changed...again. *siigh* so my plans gone out the window...
